West Coast Visitor Information Centre Recognised

5 June 2018

West Coast Mayor Phil Vickers said the West Coast Visitor Information Centre had recently been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.

“This is fantastic recognition of the centre and its staff,” Mayor Vickers said.

“Considering the certificate is based on reviews left on TripAdvisor, the centre is obviously doing a great job of welcoming visitors and providing information, which is what it is all about.

“Staff take a lot of time to familiarise themselves by visiting the various town on the West Coast and visit accommodation, dining options and experiences to ensure they have the best information about our area.

“Congratulations to all involved on this fantastic recognition.”

Mayor Vickers said the centre had just changed to its winter operating hours and this was just as good a season to visit the West Coast as any.

“From now until the 31st of August the Visitor Information Centre is open from 12 midday until 5pm daily to provide information, help you book accommodation or an activity,” Mayor Vickers said.

“While it is getting colder here on the West Coast, there is still plenty to do from pristine wilderness to memorable world heritage landscapes.”

The West Coast Visitor Information Centre can be contacted on 6472 6800 or freecall 1800 352 200 and is located on The Esplanade at Strahan.
