Building Services

Council does not provide Building Surveying Services and no longer assess applications to ensure compliance with the Building Code of Australia. 

Any person wishing to undertake building works is required to lodge their application with a private building surveyor prior to lodging the application with Council for approval. 

A  Certificate of Likely Compliance will be issued with approved plans.  Council will require the Certificate of Likely Compliance and approved plans to be lodged with completed application forms so a building permit can be issued. 

Planning and Plumbing approvals are still undertaken primarily by Council and these processes still need to be undertaken prior to a building permit being issued should approval be required.
